Antique & Collectable Auction Rates & Terms
1. All items consigned to Charles County Auction Company (CCAC) will be sold to the last & highest bidder regardless of price, unless a reserve price is specified on the consignment contract, for which there are no sale fees. CCAC reserves the right not to place items into an auction if the reserve price is deemed to high or inappropriate for the item.
2. Consignment rates are based per auction; per consignment. This means commission rates will be assessed by auction, not by the total consignment over more than one auction.
3. CCAC will be held harmless of any claims arising due to damage, theft, water damage & fire of any and all property left at CCAC facilities. While CCAC makes every effort to make sure your items are cared for correctly, insurance is very hard to obtain on unvalued merchandise and CCAC does not carry any such insurance. Therefore we strongly recommend you have appropriate insurance on any items you deem to be of a specific value before consigning them to CCAC.
4. At no time does CCAC make any claims as to guaranteeing prices on items sold at auction, or guaranteeing bidder turnout at auction.
5. CCAC reserves the right to pull any item from an auction for any reason.
6. If any items are unsold after the auction, the consignor has seven days to make arrangements to pick said items up from the auction gallery. After seven days CCAC will assess a $50 tip fee, which will be deducted from the consignors check (after comissions), and said items will be disposed of at CCAC's discretion.
7. All Commissions are per consignment, not per item. This means if you consigned 10 items, our commission is based on the total selling price for all ten items.
- Special Rates apply to Haulers & Estates, give us a call.
- Additional fees may apply to items being picked up by CCAC.
